Books & Music
Kilmartin House Museum has an on-site book shop which stocks one of the widest range of titles on the West Coast, including our own publications. Subjects range from the archaeology of Scotland to the environmental and social history of the nation. You will also find books on technology, ecology, geology and cooking (both the prehistoric and more modern alternatives!). The odd 'holiday' novel is also available as are many children's titles for the occasional rainy day. You will also find a wide range of guides and maps.
The shop has a wide selection of music ranging from contemporary Celtic bands, traditional Scottish Music, Gaelic Psalsms to ancient carnyx music and our own CD - the Sounds of Ancient Scotland.
Art, crafts and gifts
Argyll is a fertile ground for artists and craftspeople. You will find a range of local crafts, including pottery, jewellery, carved stones and basketry in our shop. The walls of the café also play host to a number of temporary art exhibitions inspired by the spectacular landscape and archaeology. To see what's coming up next, or to view details of previous exhibitions - check the exhibitions page and the events calendar.

The shop also stocks a range of educational toys for children
including discovery packs, colouring books, bug identification

jewellery from our bead tray, or buy a RSPB bird toy with its own
