The Manor House Hotel is a beautiful Georgian House built in 1780 by the 5th Duke of Argyll, offering spectacular views over Oban Bay and the Isles of Kerrera, Lismore and Mull. Our hotel combines excellent and very friendly service with the charm of a listed building rich in heritage and character. The Manor House is particularly known for its beautifully restored dining room. Afternoons can be enjoyed on the terrace with majestic views of Oban Bay and beyond. Alternatively, you can take a stroll through the garden with its Georgian-inspired layout.
In front of the building you can find our private waterfront access and discover the old oyster bed. The open fire in the drawing room invites you to indulge in the opulence of the early years of the house. The adjoining bar, is the perfect place for a wee dram to round off an unforgettable day. All our common areas face the garden and offer stunning views over Oban Bay, the adjacent islands, the mountains of Morvern and the Isle of Mull. Our period-style bedrooms are tastefully decorated, and all have ensuite facilities.
As the seasons vary, so do our room rates. All rates include an extensive breakfast with a variety of freshly cooked options. We also highly recommend that you try our delicious a la carte dinner. Dinner is enjoyed in the elegant and homely dining room, which represents a central part of the experience of a Scottish hotel. Dinner reservations are recommended to avoid disappointment.
