Oban East covers the areas before reaching Oban including Taynuilt Loch Awe and Inveraray.
There are some fabulous places to visit including Brander Lodge Hotel and Bistro in Loch Awe, a great stop off for a bite to eat while travelling into Oban. Visit The Inverawe Smokery which has something for everyone including fishing, exploring the walking trails and tracks , feeding the fish, browsing through the shop or finding out how salmon is smoked and then sampling in the cafe.
St Conan's Kirk (as in photograph) on the banks of the stunning Loch Awe, Saint Conan’s Kirk has been providing the local community and visitors alike with a most enchanting experience. It is steeped in a family history, unconventional approaches to design and magical and almost unbelievable stories that surprise and delight those of every age.
The Taynuilt Etive with Rooms is under new management and sits in the village of Taynuilt where you will find a Post Office, Butchers, Hairdressers, Medical Facilities and a General Store. Once you reach Taynuilt you are 11 miles from Oban. A rather small quaint fully serviced village. It is also home to Scottland's residential Ballet School, Ballet West.
Inveraray is a really pretty town with plenty to do for a day out including Inveraray Jail where you can enjoy going back in time in an interactive experience.
