The Highlands and Islands Music and Dance Festival has become one of Scotland’s major cultural festivals, and takes place annually in Oban, Scotland.
The event has developed to include special events and competitions. The festival now offers over 1100 participants 125 competition classes in eleven disciplines including piping, accordion, fiddle, clarsach, piano, recorder, singing, woodwind & brass, highland dancing and choreography. This year the Music and Dance Festival is celebrating its 34th year.
The Festival weekend begins on Friday 29th April.
